As COVID-19 continues to rage on, the trend for natural skin expression remained strong in the latter half of the year as well. Lightweight and non-creasing products received more love than thick, heavy-coverage bases that can feel stuffy when wearing a mask. Particularly, Hera's Silky Stay 24H Long-Wear Foundation, with its thin, lightweight application and high coverage, has maintained its #1 position in the Matte Foundation segment after its release in the first half, earning high satisfaction. The demand for light makeup also continued, making 2022 a year with a particularly high number of base product releases. The Makeup Base products that made it to the awards in the first half, 3CE Makeup Base and Hince Tone-Up Base, are representative examples. In the Loose Powder segment, Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Powder retained its #1 position with the most reviews and overwhelming votes in the survey, while the Aboutone Blur Powder Pact, which has been rapidly rising in the rankings since its launch, clinched its first #1 spot. We can look forward to what trends will make makeup fun in 2023.
