The 2021 nail trend is the 'return of nail polish'. Amid the continued popularity of self-nail products like nail stickers/tips that can be easily enjoyed at home, nail polish that can be easily applied and removed has been released by various brands and has attracted the attention of consumers. In particular, the muted tone colors with a transparent, shimmering texture that can create a syrup nail look stood out the most. The Wakemake Mood Up Lux Nail Color released in the first half of the year quickly rose to the top position in the nail polish category with its easy accessibility, cost-effectiveness, and trendy color lineup, followed by Aritaum and Hince in 2nd and 3rd place. In the nail sticker/tip category, Ohora and Dashing Diva firmly established themselves as leading nail brands by ranking consecutively. It will be interesting to see if the self-nail trend continues next year.
