This year saw the release of a wider variety of lip texture products than ever before, providing the joy of lip makeup. In particular, fixing tint products that minimize transfer and smudging under masks were hugely popular, and glossy products with a natural sheen continued to be in demand. In the Glossy Lipstick category, Espoir, which had been named a rookie brand in the first half of the year, quickly rose to the top spot, outperforming prestige brands. The fiercely competitive Matte/Velvet Tint category saw Etude, Peach & Lily, and Amuse - all new releases this year - claim the top 3 spots, showcasing the power of K-Beauty. In the Color Lip Balm segment, which saw a flood of new releases, Bobbi Brown firmly maintained the #1 position, while Wake Make, a first-half rookie, closely followed in 2nd place. It will be exciting to see what new lip makeup products will capture consumer attention next year.
