The saying 'Contouring is essential!' seems out of place as the popularity of the contouring category has relatively declined compared to other years. Instead of launching new shading products, it has become the trend to diversify colors of existing products, with many brands releasing colors for cool tones in addition to the warm-toned products. In particular, Too Cool For School launched a new cool tone color, receiving much love from cool tone consumers, and it demonstrated its strength by winning the title of number one in the shading category after two years. In the blush category, jelly, liquid, and cream formulations that can add vitality even to foundation-free looks gained popularity. Apieu was selected as the number one in the cream/stick and liquid blush categories, achieving a double crown, while Skinfood's nostalgic item and steady seller, the Fresh Fruit Lip & Cheek, made a long-awaited appearance in the lip and cheek category. In the powder blush category, Clinique maintained its number one position after fierce competition, while the rising star in color cosmetics, Romand, closely followed in second place. It remains to be seen whether the popularity of contouring can be revived next year.
