The Rookie category selected the 40 most popular new products of 2020 across various categories. Beauty trends related to mask-wearing seem to be reflected in this category. In skincare, soothing products with cica and mugwort were popular, while in face and lip makeup, matte formulas and powders that minimize transfer were in demand. Eye makeup products also saw a surge, as they became the focus of makeup looks with mask-wearing. The competition was fierce, especially in the mascara category. It will be interesting to see if the Rookie award winners can maintain their top positions in the coming year.
